Orange juice, avoid it…

Most people believe that a large glass of orange juice is a good way to start their day, getting refreshing healthy orange juice is a way of providing the body with the necessary Vit-C, well sorry, no it isn’t. Actually orange juice or grapefruit juice is the wrong way to start your day, in fact it’s wrong…period.

Everyone has an autonomic nervous system, part of the autonomic nervous systems job is to generate and degenerate cells in the body. Parasympathetic side will generate new cells while the sympathetic will degenerate cells. If they were equal the human body would live forever but sadly the sympathetic is more dominant, the natural part of ageing.

Eating or drinking oranges or grapefruits stimulate the sympathetic side of the autonomic nervous system so we become more susceptible to degenerative disease.

In addition to this, when a fruit or vegetable is “juiced” you create a “partitioned food” meaning the necessary enzymes for it it be metabolized and assimilated by the body are separated, so the body doesn’t utilize the nutritional side of the fruit or vegetable.

So in my opinion, after studying the work of Dr Huggins and Dr Levy, juicing is not good, now I know that is going to upset a lot of Jack Lalane followers but it’s true, however if you use a Vitamix or similar processor that is a different story. These products will process or blend the fruit retaining the pulp and all the necessary enzymes for it to me assimilated by the body.

Orange juice bought from the store:

So If you buy orange juice at the store, you may lean towards the kind that advertises itself as “100 percent juice” and “not made from concentrate”. But have you ever wondered why every glass of it tastes exactly the same? That’s because the flavor of store-bought orange juice has more to do with chemistry than nature.

For industrially-produced orange juice, after the oranges are squeezed, the juice is stored in giant holding tanks and the oxygen is removed from them, which allows the liquid to keep for up to a year without spoiling. It also makes the juice completely flavorless. So the industry uses “flavor packs” to re-flavor the juice.

According to Food Renegade:

“Juice companies therefore hire flavor and fragrance companies … to engineer flavor packs to add back to the juice to make it taste fresh. Flavor packs aren’t listed as an ingredient on the label because technically they are derived from orange essence and oil. Yet those in the industry will tell you that the flavor packs, whether made for reconstituted or pasteurized orange juice, resemble nothing found in nature.”

Brain waves: Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta…

Brain Waves: Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta, what do they mean, and
when do we have them? When you’re awake and totally active, your brain waves
operate at a level called Beta where they mainly oscillate between 14 to
30 cycles per second. As your mind relaxes and disconnects somehow from the
external material world – like when you’re daydreaming or meditating, or
watching a movie – you enter a more focused, expanded state of awareness where
brain wave patterns are mainly composed of Alpha brain waves oscillating
at between 8 and 13 cycles per second. When relaxing even more, your mind
enters a region that correlates with a large relative quantity of brain wave
patterns of 4 to 7 cycles per second. This is the Theta zone of the
The Beta level corresponds to a focus of concentration by the mind upon the
outside or perceptually separated world, and the Alpha and Theta levels
correspond to a more internally focused, self-reflective state.
Each human being experiences the Theta level for a fleeting moment every night
before the mind dips down from the Beta level of awareness (awake state), to
the Delta state (brain waves of less than 4 cycles per second: deep
sleep), and passes rapidly through the Alpha and Theta states to enter the
profound sleep level, where consciousness of self is totally lost, and where
even dreams do not occur. (When dreaming, a sense of self is necessary and the
mind has to go back up to the Theta or Alpha state.)
Delta is the level of the mysterious universal mind. It is the level at which
the differentiated self (ego) expands to become undifferentiated and operates
outside of the confines of linear time/space.
Alpha, Theta and Delta (sleep) are defined as “altered states of
consciousness,” as opposed to Beta, which is considered to be a fully
conscious state. They are so called because it is necessary to alter one’s
state of consciousness from the fully awake state (Beta), to either Alpha,
Theta or Delta (sleep), which are all progressive states of expanded awareness
and thus are subject to less vibratory interference from the biological brain.
Beta is the so-called conscious level of mind. Alpha and Theta form the
subconscious regions of the mind’s operation, and Delta is the unconscious
region of thought activity. These states form the spectrum of mind operation.
Small children function mainly at the Theta, Alpha and Delta states of mind, as
do animals. Human adults operate mostly at Beta.

Monsanto’s Bt GMO corn..

Most of the genetically-modified (GM) corn products forced on American consumers today are hidden in processed foods in the form of high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), corn oil, corn starch, and various other corn-based additives. But soon to be available at a Walmart near you is Monsanto’s Bt sweet corn, the agri-giant’s first ever GM corn product made available to consumers as whole ears right on the cob in the produce section– and like with all other GMOs, neither Walmart nor Monsanto has any intention of labeling this new “Frankencorn.”

Monsanto first unveiled this new variety of GM sweet corn back in August, which rivals Syngenta’s GM sweet corn that has already been on the market in limited form for the past ten years, claiming that it would be available to farmers for planting during Fall 2011. Now, the corn appears set to make its debut in Walmart stores across the country as early as Summer 2012, unless massive public outcry is able to convince the multinational retailer to scrap the corn, or at least voluntarily label it.

This disturbing development comes courtesy of both Food & Water Watch and Sum Of Us, which recently drew attention to the issue by creating petitions against Walmart’s potential sale of the corn. Though Monsanto’s GM sweet corn contains three genetically-engineered (GE) traits that have never been used in food eaten directly by people, and that have never been properly tested, Walmart still intends to quietly stock its produce shelves with this phony corn in the very near future.

Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s have rejected Monsanto’s Bt corn, how about Wal-Mart?

In a recent campaign alert (, Sum Of Us explains that immense consumer pressure has already resulted in commitments from Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe’s, and General Mills not to use the new GM corn in any of their products. But as of the announcement, Walmart has made no such commitment, presumably because of the company’s close-knit relationship with Monsanto, a “match made in hell” that Food & Water Watch has humorously dubbed “Walsanto” (

But there is still time to stop Walmart’s stocking of Monsanto’s latest GM poison which, if successful, has the potential to completely destroy the viability of the entire crop. If Walmart rejects the GM corn, many others will likely follow, which will result in farmers refusing to plant it.

It is a simple supply and demand situation, but one that is complicated by the fact that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) refuses to mandate that any GMOs be labeled, which means millions of people consume them all the time without knowing it. This is why YOUR help is needed to spread the truth about both GM sweet corn and GMOs in general to your friends, family members, neighbors, and coworkers.

The Sweet Golden Treat That Can Help Wipe Out Deadly MRSA   

As the population of bee’s is dwindling through what is now called CCD or Colony Collapse Disorder, scientist’s around the world are busy trying to discover the reason.

In the US alone around 800,000 colonies disappeared last year, yes in one year, that is almost one-third of the population of bee’s in this country. As around three-quarters of grown fruit and vegetables require bee’s to pollinate them, this is a real problem.

My own theory is that the bee’s are suffering from malnutrition  through the constant use of products like Round Up manufactured by….yes you guessed it, Monsanto. So ridding the world of this demon will benefit the bee’s and humankind alike.

Honey was a conventional therapy in fighting infection up until the early 20th century, at which time its use slowly vanished with the advent of penicillin.

Now the use of honey in wound care is regaining popularity again, as researchers are determining exactly how honey can help fight serious skin infections.

According to their findings, certain types of honey might be more effective than antibiotics!

After any skin injury, bacteria that live on your skin can infect and penetrate the wound site.

One particularly common type of strep (Streptococcus pyogenes) can result in wounds that refuse to heal.

But honey, especially the kind made by bees foraging on manuka flowers, was found to destroy these bacteria.

Scientific American recently reported i:

“In lab tests, just a bit of the honey killed off the majority of bacterial cells — and cut down dramatically on the stubborn biofilms they formed.

It could also be used to prevent wounds from becoming infected in the first place.”

According to the authors of the study,

“These findings indicate that manuka honey has potential in the topical treatment of wounds containing S. pyogenes.” ii

Should You Dress Your Wounds with Honey?

As long as you use the right kind of honey, science does back up its use for wound treatment, which is especially relevant today as antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections are on the rise.

Five years ago, the FDA authorized the first honey-based medical product for use in the US. Derma Sciences uses Manuka honey for their Medihoney wound and burn dressings, which can be found online from medical supply stores. also sells them. These products can also be found in Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.

When considering using honey for the treatment of wounds, it’s extremely important to understand that there’s a major difference between raw honey—and especially Manuka honey, which is in a class of its own—and the highly processed “Grade A” type honey you find in most grocery stores. The latter is more akin to high fructose corn syrup, which is more likely to increase infection, and should never be used to treat topical wounds! (It also will not offer you the same health benefits as raw honey when consumed.)

Manuka honey, on the other hand, is made with pollen gathered from the flowers of the Manuka bush (a medicinal plant), and clinical trials have found this type of honey can effectively eradicate more than 250 clinical strains of bacteria, including resistant varieties such as:
•MRSA (methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus)
•MSSA (methicillin sensitive Staphylococcus aureus)
•VRE (vancomycin-resistant enterococci)

Compared to other types of honey, Manuka has an extra ingredient with antimicrobial qualities, called the Unique Manuka Factor (UMF). It is so called because no one has yet been able to discover the unique substance involved that gives it its extraordinary antibacterial activity. Honey releases hydrogen peroxide through an enzymatic process, which explains its general antiseptic qualities, but Active Manuka honey contains “something else” that makes it far superior to other types of honey when it comes to killing off bacteria.

The level of UMF can vary between batches, so each batch is ranked and priced accordingly. The higher the concentration of UMF, the darker, thicker, and more expensive it is.

To determine its rating, a sample of the honey batch is placed on a plate with a bacterial culture. The area where the bacterial growth stops is then measured. This area is compared to a similar area produced by a solution of phenol and water. The UMF number refers to the equivalent percentage of phenol in water, so, for example, honey with a UMF rating of 10 has the same antibacterial strength as 10 percent phenol. A rating of UMF 10 or higher is recommended for medicinal use.

Evidence Supporting Use of Honey against Infectious Bacteria

Aside from the featured study, many others confirm the soundness of using good-old-fashioned honey for the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections. For example, a 1992 study found that honey sped up the healing of caesarean sections iii, iv. Another study found that honey cured the intractable wounds of 59 patients, and it’s been known to help heal everything from ulcers to sunburn. According to the International Journal of Lower Extremity Wounds, positive findings on honey in wound care have been reported from v:
•17 randomized controlled trials involving a total of 1965 participants
•Five clinical trials of other forms involving 97 participants
•16 trials on a total of 533 wounds on experimental animals

A study published in the summer of 2009 also found that chronic rhinosinusitis sufferers might benefit from honey vi. In 11 isolates of three separate biofilms, honey was found to be significantly more effective than commonly-used antibiotics in killing both planktonic and biofilm-grown forms of pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA) and staphylococcus aureus (SA), two important factors in chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS).

The findings may hold important clinical implications in the treatment of CRS, which affects 31 million people each year in the United States alone, and is among the three most common chronic diseases in North America.

Helpful Additions to Your Home First Aid Kit

If you’re considering using honey to treat a mild burn, sunburn, or small wound at home, make sure to use either Manuka or raw honey. Like the Manuka honey, high quality RAW honey will help draw fluid away from your wound and suppress the growth of microorganisms. Part of what gives raw honey its antibacterial properties is an enzyme called glucose oxidase, which the worker bees excrete into the nectar. This enzyme releases low levels of hydrogen peroxide when the honey makes contact with your wound. A chemical reaction between the honey and the tissue also makes your wound smell good. Heated honey will destroy this perishable enzyme which is why you want to only use raw honey for this application.

For your home care kit, two other natural wound dressings that offer impressive results without drugs are Duoderm and HemCon bandages. The HemCon bandages are made from a natural protein found in shrimp shells, which not only promotes clotting, but also offer an effective antibacterial barrier against microorganisms such as MRSA and VRE—two common antibiotic-resistant strains.

While the focus of this article is on the topical uses and benefits of honey, it also has numerous health benefits when consumed in moderation.

Unfortunately, bee populations are rapidly declining. Farmers are forced to import bees from other countries or truck them across the states for different seasons of produce. Toxic chemicals, genetically engineered crops, overuse of antibiotics in animals (their waste is typically used as fertilizer) and monoculture farming are likely the primary contributors to the collapse of the bees.

The collapse of bee colonies should be looked at as yet further proof of our unsustainable farming methods.

Proven Unsafe But FDA-Approved: Are YOU Still Consuming This Man-Made Poison?
Americans drink more soda than anyone else on the planet — well over 700 eight-ounce servings each year, on average, and an increasing amount of it is diet soda.
They might be more reluctant to do so if they knew about the safety questions still surrounding aspartame. A number of scientists responding expressed major concerns about aspartame’s safety at the time of its approval, and even more indicated areas where they believed more research is needed on aspartame to resolve their concerns — research on areas such as neurological functions, brain tumors, seizures, headaches, and adverse effects on children and pregnant women.
Grist reports:
“In a 1996 survey, Ralph G. Walton … looked at 166 peer-reviewed studies on aspartame undertaken between 1980 and 1985. He found that all 74 of the studies funded by the industry found no adverse effects from aspartame, while 84 of the 92 independently funded articles did find bad effects.”
Aspartame is the ingredient found in NutraSweet, It is also found in Equal, Spoonful, Equal Measure, AminoSweet, Benevia, NutraTaste, Canderel, and many popular “diet” sodas. This chemical is currently on the ingredient list of nearly 6,000 products worldwide. But since it was approved for use as a food additive in 1981, it has been dogged by complaints about its safety.
Was aspartame ever proven safe for human consumption before it gained FDA approval as a food additive?
Not according to Dr. John Olney, a researcher at Washington University in Saint Louis who first began studying aspartame in 1970. Dr. Olhney believes aspartame should not be on the market today “because it hasn’t been demonstrated to be safe.” Also in agreement with Dr. Olney are the FDA’s own investigations into the chemical from 1975 to 1980.
When the FDA was presented with Dr. Olney’s research, they assigned an outside public board of inquiry the task of deciding if aspartame should be allowed for human consumption. In 1980, the doctors on that board unanimously ruled that aspartame should not go on the market. An internal FDA panel concluded the same thing in 1980.
According to the FDA Chairman at that time, Dr. Gere Goyan, his next recommendation was to set up another FDA committee to study aspartame, composed people who played no previous part in the former studies of aspartame. Dr. Gere Goyan never saw the results of that 1980 FDA internal study, because he was forced to step down as FDA Chairman the day Ronald Reagan took office on January 21, 1981.
His replacement? Dr. Arthur Hill Hayes.
Dr. Hayes is notable for two reasons. First, he had no previous history of dealing with the science of food additives. Second, he was apparently hand picked to head the FDA by a prominent member of Ronald Reagan’s political transition team, Donald Rumsfeld. Yes, the same Donald Rumsfeld who led the United States into the multi trillion dollar wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as Secretary of Defense during the Bush presidency. But in 1981, Rumsfeld had a different title: CEO of the G.D Searle company, the company that owned the patent on aspartame.
One of Dr. Arthur Hill Hayes first acts as FDA Chairman was granting aspartame approval for use in dry goods. Incidentally, one of Hayes’ last acts in office as FDA Chairman was to approve aspartame for use in beverages.
So was aspartame approved because studies ever showed it was safe for human consumption? Or was it approved thanks to the political influence of Donald Rumsfeld?
According to former Senator Howard Metzenbaum, who reviewed the FDA’s approval process of aspartame in the Senate in 1987, “I think there were a lot of politics involved in its being approved.” Research scientist Dr. Olney is even more blunt, “the issue (aspartame) is really not an issue of science, it’s an issue of politics.”

Sulfur in broccoli…

Our mothers were right. Broccoli is good for us, but possibly in ways our mothers never knew. Health practitioners and fitness experts around the world have heralded the benefits of broccoli for decades. Scientists have long demonstrated the antioxidant properties of broccoli. Many people know that broccoli is rich in vitamins A, C, and E, the big free radical scavenger vitamins. However, a brand new clinical study was just released in January 2012 which is getting scientists excited about broccoli – and other cruciferous vegetables – again. Broccoli, and similar vegetables like Brussels sprouts, cabbage, and cauliflower may be able to manipulate human genes. The secret ingredient is sulfur.

Sulfur in glucosinolate induces enzyme expression and activates detoxification.

Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts have been shown to reduce the risk of several degenerative diseases and conditions. The benefits of a diet rich in these vegetables have been well-documented in the medical literature for cardiovascular disease and cancer. What scientists are excited about now is a unique organic compound called glucosinolate, which is made from several plant amino acids and glucose. Glucosinolate contains high amounts of sulfur and nitrogen.

In particular, the sulfur-containing part of plant cells in broccoli has been demonstrated to be an indirect antioxidant. According to a 2012 study published in Frontiers in Genetics, sulforaphane, as the compound is called, has an incredible ability to get certain enzymes to express. This is done by signaling genes in the cell nucleus. These particular enzymes activate the detoxification and antioxidant process. Over the past ten years, scientists have watched sulforaphane do this in vivo, meaning live, in humans. Sulfur heals.

Sulfur works through redox reactions and altering the cellular environment
How does sulfur work as an antioxidant and detoxifier in the human body? The molecules in sulforaphane work via a process known in biochemistry as a redox reaction. Redox is a nickname for oxidation-reduction reactions. A redox reaction is when two chemical compounds exchange electrons. One molecule gives electrons, while the other molecule receives electrons. This is the chemical reaction which occurs when an alkaline molecule gives negatively charged electrons to acidic molecules in order to neutralize the acid. While many antioxidants do this, sulforaphane also alters the epigenetic endpoints.

The field of epigenetics, the cellular environment surrounding genes, is exploding. This discovery with sulforaphane has tremendous possibilities for people with modified genetics and suggests the possibility that genetic diseases may be able to be corrected. A 2011 doctoral dissertation presented by John D. Clarke for a doctorate in molecular and cellular biology proved that a diet rich in broccoli sprouts was able to prevent prostate cancer. Dr. Terry Wahls, M.D. was able to reverse multiple sclerosis without pharmaceuticals by eating a diet high in organic sulfur-rich foods, including broccoli. Others are experiencing similar results.

Calcium part two…

Many people ask the question about calcium and a good form to put into your body, the calcium you buy from your local health store is more than likely calcium that is inorganic, meaning it has no place in your body.

Calcium from dolomite, is rock and inorganic, calcium from bone, someone or something else’s is dead and unable to provide you with any benefit at all. Calcium from coral is also inorganic so will do nothing other than prevent your body from absorbing the organic, necessary form of this vital nutrient.

The only form of calcium that will help you comes from the earth, vegetable’s provide your body with the an abundance of calcium, broccoli and lettuce to name a couple.

Most people will think that the function of calcium in the body is related to hair, teeth and bones. Yes it is one of the requirements your body has for calcium but certainly not the main one.

When you move a limb or body part, even blinking and or pointing a finger requires a conscious or subconscious action, you don’t think about blinking or scratching an itch, you just do it. Your brain say’s move an arm or start walking and the part of your body carries out the action.

The command travels from your brain along a very complex network of nerves, the nerves are not just seamless strands, they have breaks in them. In order for the signal to travel along the network it has to jump across the break, this is where calcium comes into play. An explosion happens, a synapse that enables the signal to jump across the break and continue it’s journey to the specific limb or body part. This signal takes second’s, microseconds, nanoseconds to happen so it appears seamless to you, this synapse, the explosion requires a combination of different elements in the correct ratio to each other. Magnesium, Manganese, Sodium and Calcium are four major components.

So eating foods, good organic foods and masticating (chewing) them properly to activate the necessary enzymes for the body to absorb and assimilate is so important.

I want you to take a few minutes thinking about your health or that of a loved one or friend. Are you/they healthy, do you eat the right foods, do you chew your food? I ask you to seriously think about what is happening in your life, since I came to America from England ten years ago. One thing that stood out almost more than anything else was the natural tendency of normal people to reach for a pill when something wasn’t right. It seems that because of TV and media advertising, most people are brainwashed into taking pills. It’s become a standard nowadays to accept ill-health and take pills to address the symptom rather than looking deeper, look for the cause and stop eating or drinking or smoking it.

Some will look upon this post as a bit “out there” or “new age” or “too religious” but God didn’t put us on this planet to be sick, He wants us all to be healthy and live in abundance.

The majority of illness these days is man-made, yes man-made…

It isn’t that research is so much more advanced and that is why disease has been discovered, no, it’s been made and named by the pharmaceutical giants, who’s only intention is to make more profit from the demise of the uninformed.

I have to say this, to make it known to the general public, I maybe a very small itch to these terrible people, but I hope I can help people, even one person to find health again.

Hopefully my input will not be considered too much of a problem to them and I will be able to continue doing what I love.

Monsanto’s Financial Interest in Government..

Monsanto is not simply a company who sells genetically modified products to those seeking them. This massive corporation is actually very much involved with the passing and proposals of regulations concerning the very GM ingredients they are responsible for. You may think those helping to pass the GMO bills truly believe that genetically engineering the food supply is beneficial to public health, but the scary truth is that many of said individuals couldn’t care less about humankind or the future of the planet. As far as many government regulators are concerned, Monsanto can spread its wings far and wide – so as long as those in power are living large.

Exposing Monsanto’s Financial Interest in Government

During the 3rd quarter of 2011, biotech giant Monsanto spent a whopping $2 million lobbying the federal government. The lobbying focused on issues like regulations for genetically modified crops and patent reforms, a previous report says. The recent lobbying was aimed at the US congress as well as the USDA to weaken regulatory requirements for the production of GM sugar beets and alfalfa. This kind of lobbying from Monsanto has been going on for years, with over $8 million spent annually over the last few years.

It is this kind of government lobbying that ignites so much backing from government agencies like the USDA. In 2011 the USDA was going to let Monsanto conduct its own environmental studies as part of a two-year USDA experiment. But there is no good that can possibly come of an experiment where the company behind nearly every genetically modified crop in our daily diets is allowed to decide whether its products are causing any environmental harm. Allowing a company with such incredible negative influence to police itself will only result in individual and environmental harm.

More recently, the United States Department of Agriculture has decided to deregulate two of Monsanto’s genetically modified seed varieties, giving the company a further grasp on the already dominated food supply of the nation.

Amazingly, it gets even worse. What may be most shocking is the latest leaked information regarding Monsanto and its future expansion. The United States is threatening nations who oppose Monsanto’s genetically modified (GM) crops with military-style trade wars, according to information obtained and released by the organization WikiLeaks. The WikiLeaks cable reveals that in late 2007, the United States ambassador to France and business partner to George W. Bush, Craig Stapleton, requested that the European Union along with particular nations that did not support GMO crops be penalized. Perhaps the most shocking piece of information exposed by the cables is the fact that these U.S. diplomats are actually working directly for biotech corporations like Monsanto.

Amazingly, this is not the only case of corruption revealed. In similar newly released cables, United States diplomats are found to have pushed GMO crops as a strategic government and commercial imperative. Furthermore, advisers to the pope were specifically targeted by the U.S. This may very well have to do with the fact that many Catholic bishops and figureheads have openly denounced GMO crops.

Given the evidence revealing Monsanto’s ability to ‘legally’ persuade government officials, it seems the company is obviously pulling every move they can possible make in order to push their health-endangering agenda.
