Contrary to the misinformation doled out my governments both here in the UK and the US, Raw milk especially raw goats milk is significantly healthier than the nutrient free pasteurized and homogenized crap you buy from the supermarkets.

A few years ago while living in the beautiful state of Colorado in the US I drank 3 1/2 gallons of raw goats milk each week and I can tell you I had more improvements in my health than at any time since I was diagnosed with MS.

It tastes fantastic, creamy and slightly sweet.

In western civilization, most milk consumption is in the form of pasteurized and homogenized cow’s milk. Although such milk is portrayed as being healthy, it actually can lead to impaired health, including allergies, tooth decay, colic in babies, arthritis, heart disease, and even cancer. A much better choice is raw milk, and, though generally more difficult to find, the best raw milk of all is raw goat’s milk. As the Journal of American Medicine states, “Goat’s milk is the most complete food known.” Goat’s milk is the most highly consumed milk in many other parts of the world and it is delicious as well as extremely nutritious. Goat’s milk has vitamins, minerals, trace elements, electrolytes, enzymes, proteins, and fatty acids that are easily assimilated by the body. It is interesting to note that goat’s milk is digested in 20 minutes; whereas, it can take up to 24 hours to digest cow’s milk. Pasteurization and homogenization are not what nature intended. These processes destroy valuable natural enzymes and nutrients that our bodies utilize to sustain health. They also alter food chemicals and make fats rancid. Cow’s milk and goat’s milk differ greatly in their nutritional composition. Goat’s milk does not contain the complex protein that stimulates allergic reactions, making it less allergic. It also helps to boost the immune system. Goat’s milk alkalizes the digestive system and also helps to increase the ph level in the blood stream. Furthermore, goat’s milk does not produce mucus and will not worsen allergic respiratory conditions such as asthma. Goat’s milk also contains less of the enzyme xanthise oxidase. When entering the blood stream, this enzyme can cause tissue on the heart to scar that results in the liver supplying more cholesterol in order to protect the heart. Arteriosclerosis can be the result of this mechanism. Additionally, homogenization of milk products has also been linked to heart disease. People who are lactose intolerant may find goat’s milk to be a good alternative source of milk. Goat’s milk contains less lactose than cow’s milk and passes through the digestive system more rapidly. Most lactose intolerant people have no difficulty tolerating goat’s milk. Additionally, raw goat’s milk fights microbes, primarily due to the healthy medium-chained fatty acids it contains, such as capric and caprylic acids. It is very important to note that raw goat’s milk is rich in selenium, a necessary bodily nutrient known for its immune strengthening and antioxidant properties. Raw goat’s milk soothes the digestive tract. People with conditions such as bloating, diarrhea, asthma, and irritability may very well be suffering from an allergic reaction to cow’s milk. Raw goat’s milk on the other hand can be comfortably consumed without triggering these allergic responses. Because of its effective acid buffering capacity, goat’s milk has been used to treat conditions such as ulcers. Children with problems digesting cow’s milk may have a viable alternative in raw goat’s milk. Goat’s milk is a natural food that children can consume comfortably, even if they are sensitive to cow or other forms of milk. In fact, goat’s milk is very similar to human milk. Children who drink goat’s milk tend to remain more satisfied between meals and sleep through the night. In conclusion, goat’s milk provides excellent health benefits, is delicious and is well tolerated – as opposed to today’s pasteurized and homogenized varieties, which are not only less nutritious and less tolerated, but also can be a precursor to poor health. Fluoride pushers are criminals who seek to poison humanity..

Fluoride-pushing doctors and dentists who try to contaminate your water supply  with fluoride are promoting their deadly agenda with a clever lie… a lie you  will see obediently repeated in every fluoride push. Here’s how it  sounds:
Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral in the water. Our  city’s water is unfortunate enough to have a low level, so we are simply  adjusting the fluoride in the water to its optimum levels to improve public  health.
This lie is repeated almost verbatim, across every city that  seeks to poison its citizens with fluoride. Why is it a lie? Here are the five  false deceptions found embedded in the statement:
Deception #1)  The fluoride ADDED to the water is not “naturally occurring fluoride.” It’s a  chemical byproduct often purchased from chemical plants in China (see  below).
Deception #2) The false idea that ingesting  fluoride is somehow good for your teeth. At best, fluoride is a topical  treatment which should be swished around your mouth and then spat out. And  that’s only if it’s truly natural (mineral) fluoride, not the fluosilicic acid  toxins being pushed as fluoride.
Deception #3) What cities call  “fluoride” is actually a toxic cocktail of over 100 deadly industrial  chemicals and heavy metals, many of which are purchased in bulk from China,  where industrial processing plants are trying to get rid of their excess toxic  waste by labeling it “sodium fluoride.”
Deception #4) There is no  such thing as a “low” level of fluoride  or an “optimum” level of fluoride in drinking water. Pure drinking water should  contain NO fluoride whatsoever.
Deception #5) Fluoride is “safe”  for human consumption. Oh really? Then why is sodium  fluoride labeled by its industrial manufacturers with stern safety warnings  about causing severe harm to humans?

Chinese fluoride manufacturers openly admit to the toxicity of the  chemical

Much of the so-called “fluoride” dumped into the public water  supply in the USA, Canada, Australia and other nations actually comes from  companies like this one in China: Fluoride Chemicals (Yunnan) Co.,  Ltd.
As you can clearly see on this industrial chemicals listing page  of, the Fluoride Chemicals Yunnan Co. offers a 98% water  treatment Sodium Fluoride product with the following description for its  uses:
It is used in the manufacture of effervescing steel, and the  smelting and refining of light metals. It is also used in fluorination of  drinking water, as a wood preservative, an adhesive preservative. An insecticide,  a protective coating for metals, a pickle for steels and other metals, a flux  for soldering and welding, as well as a flux and pacifier for ceramic, glass  and porcelain enamel. (…)
This  company also manufacturers synthetic cryolite, the fluoride-pesticide  that’s being secretly sprayed on grapes and other crops, adding huge quantities  of fluoride to your food (…).
Here’s  the description of synthetic cryolite, right from the industrial chemical  supplier that sells it by the ton to U.S. food producers:
Uses: It’s  mainly used as a flux in the aluminum smelting by fused-salt electrolysis; also  an opalizer in the manufacture of enamel; an opacifier and auxiliary solvent of  glass and enamel; an insecticide of crops; a flux in aluminum alloy  casting; and in the production of ferrous alloy and effervescing steel; as well  as a wear-resistant filler for resin and rubber-boned abrasive  wheels. “Highly corrosive to human skin”

Another supplier of sodium fluoride to  municipal water facilities, the Shanghai Polymet Commodities Ltd. company  in China, offers the following description of its bulk fluoride  chemical:
Fluosilicic Acid / hydrofluosilicic  acid:
Property: Colorless, transparent and smoky liquid with  penetrating odor; highly acidic; soluble in water and volatile; with  disinfecting action; corrosive to glass, ceramics, lead and other metals;  highly corrosive to human skin and harmful to people’s respiratory organs;  keep it in a container made of plastics. (…)
Yet  another industrial fluoride supplier from China describes its sodium  fluoride as:
used as pesticides and bactericides in agriculture. Used  as UF2 adsorbent in nuclear industry. (…)
Another  sodium fluoride supplier describes their fluoride chemicals as “A colorless  crystalline or white powder, …dissolved in water, with toxic.” (…)
This  company goes on to describe the uses of its sodium fluoride chemicals  as:
Be used as anti-corrosion agent in wood, medical corrosion, fusing  in welding… manufacture of rimmed steel, treatment of hides and skins for  leather industry, adhesive preservative, purification and coloring flux in the  melting of light metals.

Keep all this  in mind when your local politician says he’s going to “adjust” the levels of  “naturally-occurring fluoride” in your local water supply. He’s lying to you.  What he really means is that he’s going to dump a toxic pesticide chemical  into the water and poison you all.
Spread the word: Sodium  fluoride is poison. That’s one of the reasons why it works so well as a  pesticide. Bureaucrats who try to dump this into the city water supply — like  Portland Mayor Sam Adams (…) — deserve  to be arrested as heinous criminals who are unleashing weapons of mass  destruction against the U.S. citizenry.

Me and MS part 3

Well I’m persevering with my raw food diet, I would like to be more than 90% but it’s still a little difficult for me. A protein shake in the morning and salad at lunch are a staple for me but it’s the evening meal on most days that are causing the problem for me. Maybe I would have been better if I’d started in the spring and summer time rather than waiting for the winter to start. The colder days and darkness at 4.30 seems to be the killer for me. However I think and feel that the change in food is having a positive effect on me along with the Lipospheric Vit C which I’m having two each day of.

Ok an update on my condition, I have been feeling very good in the morning, the rest and sleep is critically important to everyone and more so with anyone suffering from a life threatening disease. Notice I didn’t say incurable disease, because in my mind I have to believe its beatable, there’s no point telling myself it’s incurable if I intend to win so although western medicine say its’ a done deal when you have this I don’t accept it.

There are many Alternative and Complimentary health professionals around the world that have proven categorically it’s not incurable so I’m siding with them and not letting the hope fade away.

I’m noticing that having Alkaline water first thing (1 1/2 litre’s) seems to set me up well  for the day, I’m probably drinking 3 1/2 litre’s during the day which is a little more than I did 6 months ago.

I’m feeling stronger and more stable for the first few hours in the day so this may have something to do with limiting my processed food intake.

This is hard but at the end of the day I believe you can do anything you want if….if you want to do it enough..

Me and MS part 2

I must start this by saying however I describe how my life is now, the frustration, the pain and discomfort, the embarrassment, it’s all minor in comparison to the joy, inspiration, hope, and gratitude I have now especially for the people who have put themselves out to save me. Mum, Suzie and Deb’s.

Now to continue from yesterday, although I feel best first thing it’s not good by any stretch of the imagination. Getting out of bed in the morning isn’t easy. Although my legs and arms move better than they did the night before they are still weak and clumsy. It takes a good hour to get up and go the bathroom, sometimes I wish I wasn’t bothered about cleanliness because standing in the bathroom washing and brushing my teeth etc takes it out of me physically. But I refuse to live a grungy life.

Next I have to make sure my consumption of water gets off to a good start as my day will be crap if I don’t, my first pint is good alkaline water (ph 7.365) with Sole…(Solay) made from Himalayan crystal salt and I usually have two in the first hour.

Sounds easy doesn’t it, well no, reflect back on what I said yesterday about walking. just getting from one side of the flat to the other is  a challenge physically,  so getting pints across the room without spilling is a pain.

After water I make my breakfast which is typically a protein shake made with coconut milk and fruit and chocolate Whey Isolate. This can take a good 30 mins, then my supplements ( of paramount importance) so the time standing can be up to an hour. For someone suffering with MS this is so demanding and I need to have an hour recuperation after this.

Again I want to write more but at this time I feel like I have chipolata sausages (breakfast sausage for my American friends) on my hands not fingers.

Its been a while since I updated my condition to everyone so I felt now was a good time, I was diagnosed with MS in Feb 04, I think most people know MS is an incurable life threatening disease. There are millions around the world with this hideous problem and thousands of the sufferers die every year. However it isn’t MS per se that does it, because our immune system is working overtime attempting to cope with the condition it rapidly becomes over worked and the white blood cells which is essentially the immune system cannot cope with the minor problems such as cold and flu etc  which  can result in devastating negative effects.

Fatigue is a major problem, so muscles are not used and as we all know, if you don’t use it, you lose it. So the MS patient slowly becomes frail leaving us in a very delicate position.

I could go into a more detailed explanation of why these problems are exacerbated and I know an explanation which will differ from what MS sufferers are told will cause problems and potential differences in opinions between sufferers looking for answers and others who believe what they are told by the medical profession.

Anyway to get back to my situation, firstly every day is a challenge for me and I’m in constant pain although after so many years it’s become normal and bearable.

Now I try to do some form or exercise everyday albeit minimal in comparison to the healthy among you, squats are favourite as it’s my legs that seem to be effected most by MS so it’s important to try to keep the muscle in my thighs looking like thighs not thick arms.

I get around my flat by furniture or wall walking so this means I can’t get from one side to the other carrying a cup or plate, this is where having a small flat is so much easier as I transfer plates from worktop to chair etc.

When I wake in the morning I tend to feel the best I’m going to be for the day, I’m a strong believer in the body being able to naturally heal itself so positive thinking and rest play a big part in my life.

I don’t take any medication for MS and am attempting to beat this on my own naturally, and I think I’m doing a reasonable job. I wouldn’t have been able to continue if it wasn’t for my family, well I say that but I mean my mum, sister Suzie and niece Debbie  who have been nothing short or amazing.

lots of fruit and veg in salads and smoothies make up three-quarters of my meals each week and gluten-free food for the remainder.

I’d like to write more but my fingers are rapidly becoming numb and sausage like with a mind of their own so I’ll continue tomorrow.


Coconut Oil—Nature’s Perfect Moisturizer

Reduced humidity combined with colder temperatures tends to wreak havoc on your skin. Many suffer with dry, scaly, itchy skin during winter months even if they don’t have a diagnosable skin problem like eczema.

This is commonly referred to as “winter itch,” caused when your skin is depleted of moisture. Fortunately, there are simple and inexpensive remedies for this problem.

While conventional advice1 typically includes using petrolatum-based moisturizers, I recommend avoiding creams with petrolatum or mineral oils due to their carcinogenic potential. Mineral oil is also comedogenic, meaning it blocks your pores and your skin’s natural respiration process, which can lead to blackheads and pimples.

It’s important to remember that your skin is the largest organ of your body, and nearly everything you put on it is readily absorbed. Therefore, avoiding slathering anything on your skin that you wouldn’t consider eating is rather sage advice.

I firmly believe you need to approach topical skin care as you approach your diet, and only feed your skin the best ingredients from nature, forgoing toxic chemicals at all costs.

Previous research has shown that women absorb an estimated five pounds of chemicals a year just from the makeup they use! Two effective remedies against dry, itchy winter skin that I will address here are:

  • Getting sufficient amounts of animal-based omega-3 fats in your diet, and
  • Using coconut oil to moisturize your skin

In addition to that, I’ll also point out some other dietary measures that can make a big difference—and of course we can’t forget about drinking water to stay hydrated.

Dry Skin—a Sign of Omega-3 Deficiency

Your skin is an outer reflection of your insides, so your diet is a potent ally against most skin problems. When it comes to dry, flaky skin, animal-based omega-3 fat, such as krill oil, can play a very important role. Besides drinking plenty of water, it may be one of the best ways to hydrate your skin from the inside out.In fact, one reliable way to evaluate your omega-3 status is to take a close look at your hands.
If they’re smooth and soft, you’re probably getting enough omega-3 fat in your diet. If they’re not, or if other areas of your skin are dry, flaking or cracked, there is a good chance you need to increase your omega-3 intake.

When I travel and lecture and interact with people publicly, I am regularly amazed at how many people have dry hands when I shake their hand. And nearly every one of them have a fatty acid deficiency.

Omega-3 fats help to normalize your skin fats and prevent dehydration in your cells. This keeps your skin cells strong and full of moisture, which can help to decrease the appearance of fine lines. Omega-3 fats can also help calm irritated skin, giving you a clearer, smoother complexion courtesy of its anti-inflammatory activity.

So, as a first step, if you struggle with dry skin, make sure you are taking enough omega-3 fats. In the colder dry winter months, you may need to increase your dose.

Other Dietary Measures that Promote Healthy, Moisturized Skin

Besides increasing your omega-3 intake, you’d be wise to address the rest of your diet as well. Eating a healthy diet as described in my nutrition plan, which focuses on whole, bioavailable organic foods, is your number one strategy for helping your body detox naturally while supplying the necessary nutrients your skin needs to thrive.

Some foods are particularly effective at promoting beautiful, clear, healthyskin, and this includes:

    • Fresh vegetables: Ideally fresh, organic and locally grown. Fresh vegetable juice is also wonderful for your skin, as are carotenoids, which give red, orange and yellow fruits their color. Studies have shown that eating foods with these deeply colored pigments can actually make your face look healthier than being tanned.

I’ve seen 75-year-old women in my practice that had virtually no facial wrinkles. Most of them were doing large amounts of juicing and led healthy lifestyles, which was one of the reasons why I started juicing

    • Fermented vegetables. Many don’t realize this, but the health and quality of your skin is strongly linked to the health of your gut. Fermented vegetables are ideal for promoting the growth of beneficial intestinal bacteria.

Signals from these gut microorganisms are sent throughout your body—they even interact with organisms in your skin. Researchers are now looking into how these interactions can help with a wide variety of skin conditions, including dryness and poor collagen production. Normalizing your gut microflora has been shown to help against skin irritations and chronic skin problems like eczema and psoriasis.

The bacterial cells living in and on your body outnumber human cells by 10 to 1. Even after you wash, there are still 1 million bacteria living on every square centimeter of your skin. Far from being your enemy, these microorganisms are essential for optimal health and radiant skin. The bacteria on your inner elbow, for instance, process the raw fats it produces, which helps moisturize your skin.

Optimizing your gut bacteria has even been shown to produce clearer, acne-free skin. If you do not regularly consume fermented foods, then a high quality probiotics is definitely recommended.

    • Avoiding sugars, fructose, grains, and processed foods: This is perhaps the most important step you can take to improve your overall skin health regardless of the season. If you eliminate all sugars, fructose and grains from your diet for a few weeks there you would likely notice rapid improvement in your complexion. Processed foods, trans fats, processed table salt, and pasteurized dairy products can also have a detrimental impact on your skin.

Avoiding these foods will improve insulin sensitivity, which is important for overall health, including your heart health. Interestingly, recent research2 shows that the perceived age of a woman’s face, based on wrinkle measurements and complexion can help predict her risk for high blood pressure and heart disease.  Those who looked more youthful, with fewer wrinkles, also had lower blood pressure and reduced risk for heart disease.

Powerful Antioxidant Helps Promote Healthy Skin, both Internally and Topically

Astaxanthin—a potent antioxidant—has been found to offer a number of benefits to your skin, from acting as an internal sunscreen to developing a healthy color cast to your skin that most people find attractive—even more attractive than a regular tan. Research also suggests that astaxanthin may benefit your skin when applied topically.

In a 2001 study3 that explored the topical benefits of astaxanthin, hairless mice were exposed to UVB radiation for 18 weeks to simulate photo-aged skin. The mice that had astaxanthin applied to their skin developed fewer wrinkles compared to the control group, and had younger-appearing collagen. In fact, the collagen of the astaxanthin mice looked as if it had never been exposed to UV radiation. The researchers concluded that astaxanthin “can significantly prevent UV-induced collagen degradation, wrinkles, lipid peroxidation, sunburn, phototoxicity and photoallergy.” It also reduced freckles and age spots.

One of the women on my staff creates her own moisturizer, mixing one astaxanthin capsule into about three ounces of organic virgin coconut oil. Bear in mind that pure astaxanthin is highly pigmented, so if you want to try this you’ll probably want to use rubber gloves when cutting the capsule open to avoid staining your fingers. However, while the mixture itself does have a bright carrot color to it, it doesn’t noticeably stain your skin once you apply it.

Coconut Oil—Nature’s Perfect Moisturizer

For all its internal health benefits, pure coconut oil is also a wonderful all-natural “anti-aging” moisturizer when applied topically. When absorbed into your skin and connective tissues, coconut oil helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by helping to keep your connective tissues strong and supple. It also helps exfoliate the outer layer of dead skin cells, making your skin smoother.

Physiologist and biochemist Ray Peat, Ph.D. considers coconut oil an antioxidant,4 due to its stability and resistance to oxidation and free radical formation. Besides that, coconut oil also has potent antimicrobial activity. (About 50 percent of the fat in coconut oil is lauric acid that your body converts into monolaurin, which has anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-protozoa properties. Capric acid, another coconut fatty acid present in smaller amounts, also has antimicrobial activity.)

All of these features make it a good choice for skin applications. Coconut oil is perhaps one of the most useful ingredients you can keep in your house. A previous article by Delicious Obsessions5 lists no less than 122 creative uses for this household staple, including 21 DIY coconut oil skin care recipes.6 For example, you can use it as a base for body scrubs, homemade deodorant, toothpaste, hand and body cream, lip balm—even bug repellent.

A 5-Step Shower Routine for Tackling Dry Skin

Removing excess skin flaking can help reveal more glowing skin underneath. The following routine can help you accomplish that without harsh chemicals:

  • Dry brush your skin prior to getting wet using a body brush. This will help get rid of loose flaky skin
  • Avoid using soap or use the least amount possible, especially in the winter or in dry climates, as that will tend to worsen your dry skin
  • Instead, apply a natural body scrub to exfoliate your skin (also apply this to your skin before getting wet, and choose one that also contains oil to moisturize)
  • Hot showers can worsen dry skin so take the coldest shower you can tolerate
  • After your shower, apply a heavy natural body butter or natural moisturizing oil (not mineral oil or baby oil) to help seal in moisture. As mentioned earlier, organic coconut oil is an ideal choice

During Winter Months, Stay Well-Hydrated Inside and Out to Prevent Itchy Skin

Most people remember to stay hydrated during the summer, as the heat makes you sweat and develop a thirst. But reduced humidity and cold weather tends to suck the moisture right out of your skin, so you still need to make sure you’re staying well hydrated, even though you’re not sweating. As mentioned earlier, optimizing your omega-3 level is one of the best ways to moisturize your skin from the inside out. But you also need to drink clean pure water. Drink enough to where your urine is a light yellow color.

Working from the inside out, your diet can clearly make a big difference when it comes to keeping your skin supple and healthy. Avoiding processed foods, sugars and grains, is a foundational strategy for healthy skin, regardless of the season. While adding plenty of vegetables—both fresh and fermented—will further boost your skin health quotient.

As for topical remedies against dry itchy skin, remember that many chemical-laden concoctions can make matters worse rather than better. While petrolatum-based creams may help seal in moisture, thereby appearing to fix the problem, research has shown that topical applications of moisturizers such as Dermabase, Dermovan, Eucerin Original Moisturizing Cream, or Vanicream may actually increase your skin cancer risk…

Organic coconut oil is an ideal alternative to potentially toxic creams and lotions filled with suspicious ingredients. You can use it straight out of the jar, or mix it with other all-natural ingredients.

I had the most interesting conversation with one of the moms at my son’s school that was so incredibly eye opening.
After some brief chit chat, she told me that she and her family had the most wonderful weekend with her mother in law and father in law. It was particularly special because her mother in law has stage 4 cancer and she is doing incredibly well.
“Incredibly well?” I asked. “That’s so great to hear.”
As anyone who has had a family member affected by such a terrible disease can agree, to hear that someone is doing “incredibly well” with stage 4 cancer is a true blessing.
She then proceeded to tell me that her mother in law, through her own research, had found some information on the benefits of an alkaline diet in cancer patients. Of course, at this point, I am all ears!
First, let’s get a few basics down about pH, acid, alkaline and any other simple science facts we may need to understand.
Very simply, the pH of any liquid is measured on a scale from 1-14, where 1 is the most acidic and 14 is the most alkaline. Seven is neutral and ideal blood pH is 7.365 – 7.45.  When your body senses that your blood is not at its ideal pH it will work very, very hard to get it back there. Your body is quite brilliant and will figure out any way to get back to its ideal state.
Next, let’s demystify some claims that are circulating the internet about blood pH, and an acidic vs alkaline diet.
Claim #1 – An alkaline diet can cure cancer.
As much as I would love to believe this, I’m not sure that we can say that an alkaline diet can completely eliminate cancer. Yes, it is true that cancer cells cannot thrive well in an alkaline environment, but unfortunately, cancer cells do create their own acidic environment wherever they are in the body. So even if you only ate alkaline foods, you would not be able to completely eliminate the acidic properties of the cancer cells themselves. **Please note: Cancer research is consistently showing new breakthroughs each and every day. The best thing we can do is keep ourselves informed and healthy.
Claim #2 – We can change the pH of our blood with the food we eat.
The foods you eat can directly affect the pH balance of your urine, but do not have the same direct effect on your blood. Your body is amazing in that it will do everything possible to maintain a near ideal pH (around 7.4 for your blood) and it will create just the right processes in your system to achieve that balanced pH.
The key for us is giving our bodies the ability to easily reach that ideal pH without so much stress.
Kris Carr, cancer patient and creator of the documentary “Crazy, Sexy Cancer,” brilliantly puts it like this:
“Proper pH varies throughout your body…Your body doesn’t just “find” the balance it works extremely hard to create it. When you make poor lifestyle choices or are burdened by a toxic environment, your body has to work harder to create a peaceful homeostasis.
For good health our bodies need to be slightly alkaline (with a pH of between 7.365 and 7.45). Sounds simple right? But this is not mathematical scaled based on arithmetic, pH operates on a logarithmic scale with multiples of 10. Therefore, it takes ten times the amount of alkalinity to neutralize an acid.”

That means that even though a jump from 7 to 6 doesn’t seem like a lot, it takes 10 times the alkalinity to neutralize back to ideal…7 to 5 = 100 times, 7 to 4 = 1000 times.  You get the drift.
The best way to neutralize acid in the body is through the food we eat. And because it takes so much work, we need to eat a very alkaline diet to achieve good health.
So the most important take away for all of us here is that although it is still unknown whether an alkaline diet can completely eliminate cancer or although the food we eat does not have a direct impact on our blood, it is still critically important that we eat a lot of alkaline food so as to not give the body so much strenuous alkalizing work to do.
Picture it like this…
Imagine your body has the goal of reaching a destination at the top of a mountain every day. Eating a lot of acidic foods all day long is like taking the steep hill up…hard, painful, and exhausting (exactly how you’ll feel eating acidic foods). But when you eat a lot of alkalizing foods it’s like taking a secret flat road straight to your destination at the top…it’s easy, relaxing and peaceful, and feels good the whole way there. (Yup, that sounds like the road I want to take.)
Below are just a few examples of acidic vs alkaline foods:
Acidic foods:
Artificial sweeteners, coffee, sugar, processed wheat, artificial sweeteners, dairy, and conventionally raised animal proteins.
Alkaline food:
Almost all green vegetables, avocados, lemons, green tea, almonds, and coconut.
The above list is very short. You can find extensive lists on the internet that give you the exact pH of each and every food, but what you will see is that the absolute best route for alkalizing your body and doing it quickly is eating a lot of alkalizing raw vegetables.
So Isabel, what’s the best way to alkalize my body fast?
Below is my simple 3 step plan for easy alkalizing.
1.   Eliminate the biggest culprits: artificial sweeteners, sugar and wheat. This alone will make a huge difference in how you feel and most definitely in how you look. These foods aren’t helping you reach your health goals in any way and they are the very foods that are creating that strenuous uphill climb for your body to reach its ideal pH.
2.   Include alkalizing foods each day. My top pick for veggies are leafy greens and cucumbers…for fruit it’s lemons and avocados, and for nuts it’s almonds. Be sure to include these alkalizing powerhouses each day to be on the flat road to ideal pH.
3.   Include a high quality greens powder into your eating plan every single day. I don’t think I have gone a single day in the past 3 years without my morning greens drink…it is that critically important to me! With the demands of a busy life, some days I do not get in enough alkalizing foods as I would like. My top choice here is Athletic Greens. Advertising lies…

I’ve been constantly upset by the blatant lies published daily by this company regarding the nutrional value of their product. Millions of people every day are buying this product and feeding it to their family believing that they are feeding them a nutritios product. when in reality it’s the opposite in fact it’s downright toxic.
The product is Nutellla the chocolate and hazelnut spread.
What the advertising says is that it’s easy and quick to provide a nutritious breakfast by spreading an ounce or two of Nutella onto a slice of toast.
The advertising claims their poduct is simply hazelnuts and cocoa powder, if you care to do a little research you’ll  find the first ingredient in Nutella is Sugar, in fact 53% of evey 100 grams is sugar.
Sugar is by far the most toxic natural food on earth.

As for its nutritious qualities, let’s be honest: Nutella has the basic nutrition profile of chocolate frosting with slightly more protein. (Chocolate frosting has 1 gram of protein; Nutella has 3 grams, thanks to its hazelnuts and skim milk.)

So, is chocolate frosting healthy for breakfast? Of course not. Two tablespoons of Nutella contains the equivalent of five teaspoons of sugar. That’s very high.

But even the Nutella website says it should be “used in moderation with complementary foods.” A tablespoon spread on a slice of high-fiber whole grain bread accompanied by fresh fruit and a glass of milk or some yogurt is not going to get you arrested by the nutrition police.

To this day there are still millions of amalgam fillings every year being placed into the teeth of unsuspecting people in the US alone, even though the rest of the world or at least Europe has outlawed these killers. I’m not being overly dramatic when I describe them as killers because long term that’s just what they are.

An Amalgam filling is an amalgamation of dissimilar metals; prior to 1976 they consisted of 52% mercury, zinc, copper, tin and maybe 8-10% silver. So when the dentist tells you he is going to put a silver filling in your tooth/teeth quite frankly it’s a blatant lie…Its mercury primarily. Mercury is the most toxic non radioactive substance on earth; it gets worse because every time you brush your teeth, drink hot drinks or chew you stimulate the release of methyl mercury which is 100 times more toxic.

After 1976 the filling was “updated or upgraded” to the high copper amalgam filling, this is equal parts of mercury, copper and silver. Even though there is less mercury it stimulates the release of methyl mercury 50 times faster than the original.

The most sensitive parts of your body are the insides of your cheeks and under your tongue, so you can imagine where the elemental mercury goes…..yes into your body and your blood stream.

The blood consists of red and white cells; the white is essentially your immune system, its primary role is to protect you from invaders.

The red is broken down into roughly 30 components; one of which is hemoglobin which has 4 ports on each cell to carry oxygen….oxyhemeglobin.

Mercury attaches to one, two, three or even all four ports so is now transported around your body, it doesn’t want to wander aimlessly, it wants to find somewhere nice to live, like a filter organ, your liver, kidneys, heart or brain. Once resident there it will prevent the organ from doing its job efficiently and “hey presto you have symptoms”.

I have always found it quite ridiculous to think that the wonderful trusted community of general practitioners (GP’s) insists on treating symptoms and not the cause of the problem. So you see your doctor, are then told to take a medicine/drug and the chances are, you will be on medication for the rest of your life…nice.

In 2008/9 a school in Lakewood, Colorado was closed and 600 pupils were sent home, why, you ask, well there had been a spillage of a hazardous material so the HAZMAT team were called in.  Now I’m sure you are thinking that there had been a large amount of a radioactive material spilled, well you would be right in thinking that way. In fact it was a mercury thermometer that had been broken.

Now if 600 kids were sent home because a very minimal amount or mercury was spilled on the floor why oh why is it considered safe to allow larger amount as an amalgam filling to be placed into uninformed, unsuspecting people? Thousands of times every day of the year.

This is interesting, did you know that the ADA actually holds the patent on amalgam fillings, so those wonderful, considerate people are actually being paid every time an amalgam is placed. It’s no wonder they refuse to acknowledge the dangers in these hideous little killers. When it’s eventually accepted worldwide that amalgams are killing people and the ADA have always known this then there will be an even bigger law suit than there was with the tobacco industry.

Let’s move back to amalgam fillings, because of the amalgamation of dissimilar metals, your saliva and the warm environment of your mouth, these fillings have all the basic requirements to be little batteries.  They emit a signal, an electrical signal, negative or positive, high or low. Perhaps fillings could be better described electrically by calling them capacitors. Capacitors, like the flash portion of a flash camera, build up a charge over a period of time, and then discharge much of their stored current in an instant This is measured in micro amps’; having an electrical signal requires them to be removed in a very specific sequence. There is only one way of identifying that signal and that is to use a RITA meter, this device that was created by Dr Huggins. It’s similar to an ammeter or amalgameter but there is very significant difference and that is the RITA meter measures the peak of the signal and stays at that point. This is crucial because the fillings need to be removed sequentially, starting with the highest negative; after that one has been removed the remainder of fillings in that quadrant can be removed.

Now it becomes a little confusing as the remaining fillings starting with the next highest negative are to be removed following the guide in the previous paragraph.

However, the dentist needs to check all the fillings in the mouth; they are marked on a chart by his assistant. If, after the first quadrant has been done the next highest negative filling is on the other side of the head crossing the midline, draw an imaginary line down your head splitting your eyes, down your nose and thru your lips, then there has to be a 48hr gap between removals unless the dentist is using Conscious sedation. The most popular or commonly used is Versedwhich is similar to Valium. If conscious sedation is used then after the first highest negative filling is replaced the sequence doesn’t apply.

When Dr Huggins noted this several decades ago he found that if this protocol is not adhered to, then 63% of patients develop an autoimmune disease, not necessarily immediately but it is likely to happen at some point.

There is almost a conspiracy here between the dentists that have done the honest research and found that Huggins work is real, and the powers that be like the American Dental Association (ADA) plus their cronies like Device Watch or Quack watch. These people will spread malicious misinformation about the pioneering work of Dr Huggins and Dr Weston Price before him. I have spoken with my clients and uninformed dentists who truly believe there is nothing wrong with an amalgam filling. This is because of the misinformation being spread by the ADA…

I’m sure you’ll be thinking “I’ll just go and see my local holistic or biological dentist, because he or she will do it right” well the sad thing is that NO, they won’t. There are lots and lots of very competent, experienced dentists, some biological, some holistic and they will tell you that they are very experienced in the removal of amalgam fillings. They have done it thousands of times, “so just come see me and I will take care of you”.

Again I can’t emphasize this strongly enough, biological, holistic, means nothing when it comes to the only safe methods of removing and replacing amalgams.

A Rita meter should be used to identify the correct sequence of removal; the dentist should use a rubber dam, oxygen, water, powerful suction and a Negative Ion Generator to ensure a clear channel over the dental chair. Some dentists will also use some form of suction device to clear the air immediately around the patient.

I’d like to ask this of the dentist’s that profess to be able to competently remove amalgams, “when you’ve removed the amalgams the wrong way, do any of the patients ever come back in six months or a year and tell you they now have MS or one of the other incurable diseases.” No, they don’t because the patient didn’t realize it was the dentistry that caused the problem, dentist’s are living in a dream world, I believe that the pharmaceutical industry are responsible for the millions of people suffering from ill health these days however I also believe the dentist’s are guilty and in some ways even more so.

There is only one safe way to remove amalgams, and that is to follow the protocol laid out by Dr Huggins as listed above, over the years I have talked with thousands of clients all stating that they had had their amalgams removed the correct way. Most, not all but most would tell me that they had seen a Huggins trained dentist, to which I would ask for the name of the dentist and the city or state they were in. Some people wouldn’t tell me the name, why, I just don’t know; maybe they thought they would get the dentist into trouble.

For those that did tell me the name, it would often be a name I’d never heard before, what their dentist probably meant was that they attended a two hour seminar and shook Dr Huggins hand, so in their mind they had been trained. The client would try to justify the dentist’s work, this I just couldn’t understand because the client would be suffering from health problems and often serious health problems which are likely to have been caused or at least instigated by dentistry.

Dr Huggins holds trainings twice each year or at least he did, this would be a three day training program held in Colorado Springs, normally in March and October although that could vary by a month either side depending on when the IAOMT were holding their semi annular seminars. My recommendation is to find a Huggins trained dentist, this can be done by calling Huggins Applied healing on 1 866 948 4638.

At the end of this book I have listed the dentists that were considered to be an elite group of Huggins trained dentists including the city and phone numbers.

One particular dentist is in my opinion stands head and shoulders above the others; this is because of her experience and unequalled skills. Dr Blanche Grube has followed Dr Huggins work closer than anyone else for twenty years.

Her passion, compassion, skills, experience and dedication surpass all others, I will not go into detail about a health challenge she experienced because I feel it best coming from her. Needless to say she has been there, done that and has the t shirt and video when it comes to health issues.

Stop feeding the cash cow..

The lies being told to the uninformed public have created a huge cash cow for the world’s biggest pariah’s otherwise known as big pharma or the pharmaceutical industry.

You can’t watch TV in the evening without seeing multiple adverts for cholesterol medication, I think Cholesterol meds even surpass Allergy meds, at the end of the day an allergy is an irritant and can be frustrating and inconvenient but the lies told about Cholesterol will have you believe that high cholesterol can kill so more and more people are frightened and scared into taking the med’s.

It’s been proven time and time again that low cholesterol is far and away more damaging than high cholesterol. Independent research has shown that more people die or heart attack or stroke and cancer when cholesterol is low.

There really isn’t bad cholesterol; yes there are types of cholesterol but not just two as is often thought.

HDL is high density lipoproteins

LDL is low density lipoproteins

VLDL is very low density lipoproteins and they all have a place, they have a valid reason to be in the body.

The body manufactures around 60% of the cholesterol it needs to function, so you require the other 40% from foods. As vegetables do not contain cholesterol your body needs to get it from an animal diet.

Cholesterol is the second biggest natural detoxifier in the body, Albumin being the biggest. So when you are exposed to toxins either through your diet or some other avenue the cholesterol sets about neutralizing them.

I suppose that it’s fair to say that cholesterol is guilty by association, if you did a survey of the accidents in your local city you’d find that every time there was a vehicle accident, there was also an ambulance present. It would it be fair to suggest that the ambulance was the common denominator, but unfair to say that the ambulance was the guilty party when it came to vehicle accidents. No, the ambulance was there because of the accident and the same applies to cholesterol. As the second biggest natural detoxifier it rushes in to protect you and eliminate the toxins, but what happens is the medical profession see you have high cholesterol in their opinion and give you a statin drug.

The statin artificially lowers your cholesterol and enables the toxins to run riot, you suffer a heart attack or stroke and the doctor says,” I’m sorry it was just because of your high cholesterol, we prescribed an anticholestrol medication but the cholesterol was too high and we couldn’t get it down quick enough”.

This is a load of rubbish, cholesterol is there to help you, God didn’t put us on this planet to commit suicide, he gave us all we need to survive and thrive, but sadly the greedy amongst us have provided lots of tasty appealing treats. But those treats cause problems in our body, so we are told about options that supposedly help. They don’t help really; they just put a band-aid on the problem.

In the book “Nutrition and Physical Degeneration” written by Dr. Weston A Price, he found that as the volume of fats in the diet went down , the race degenerated, he said that the people with the best overall health around the world had about 40% fat in their diet. He monitored the cholesterol and triglyceride levels for almost twenty years and found that there is no relationship between the amount of fats in the diet and the serum level of fats.

Cholesterol makes up approximately 25% of the dry weight of the brain, and at least 23% of the cell membrane of the red blood cells, without this they wouldn’t be able to flex and contort and get through the tiny capillaries resulting in local necrosis , in the brain this is known as a stroke.

I mentioned butter before as an essential ingredient to the diet, Dr. Huggins has recommended as much as a quarter pound of butter daily. The reason for this is that the intestinal tract is essentially a giant fat soluble membrane.

Nutrients appear to be absorbed better across a fat soluble membrane when they are in conjunction with fats. Butter supplies this form of fat. Dr. Huggins noted that when overweight people change from margarine to butter they tend to lose weight very easily. The reason for this may be that the body is actually hungry for nutrients, so as the nutrients are absorbed via the mechanism of fat, the hunger desire is satisfied more easily. Another point to make here is that fats are fats and oils are oils, they are similar but not the same.

A very interesting and valid point to also make in regards to margarine, when you break down margarine into its cellular form you’ll find it is very similar to plastic…

If you place an open tub of margarine in your garden and next to it place an open tub of butter, then leave them for a week You’ll find all of the butter has gone but the margarine is still intact. Even insects know its bad and won’t touch it.

When margarine was originally created it was as a fattening agent for turkeys, the turkeys wouldn’t’ touch it. The creators had spent millions and millions in development. When the turkeys ignored this costly fact the manufacturers had to do something, so they added a coloring agent to make it look more like butter and sold it for human consumption..

The HDL has a very influential role to play in protection against heart disease amongst other things; HDL is from the cholesterol fraction of the blood the LDL from the cholesterol and triglyceride fraction while the VLDL only from the triglyceride fraction. LDL and VLDL combine in the liver with Bilirubin to produce bile which is essential in metabolizing foods. When this isn’t done correctly, food is not synthesized or absorbed correctly, resulting in gallstones in the liver and gallbladder.
